Privacy Policy

Hurricane Studio d.o.o. ("Hurricane Studio," "we," "us") provides technical co-founder and CTO-as-a-service work for startup founders. This policy explains what personal data we collect through hurricane.studio, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We are based in Belgrade, Serbia, and work with clients in the UK, EU, US, and Singapore.

Data we collect

We collect personal data directly from you in three places on this site:

  • Contact form (/contact): name, email address, company name, a project description, and optionally how you heard about us. We use this to reply to your inquiry and evaluate whether we're a fit to work together.
  • Newsletter signup: your email address, submitted to our email provider, Kit (ConvertKit), so we can send Storm Survival guides and occasional updates. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.
  • Analytics: if you accept our cookie banner, Google Analytics (GA4) collects standard usage data (pages visited, referring site, approximate location, device type) to help us understand how the site is used. Analytics storage defaults to off (Google Consent Mode v2) and only turns on after you explicitly accept; your choice is remembered in your browser via localStorage and a small consent cookie so you aren't re-prompted on return visits.

How we use your data

We use the data above only to:

  • Respond to inquiries submitted through the contact form.
  • Send newsletter emails to people who opted in, via Kit (ConvertKit).
  • Understand aggregate site usage through Google Analytics, when you've consented.
  • Meet legal, accounting, or contractual obligations tied to an active client engagement.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Who we share it with

We share personal data only with the service providers needed to run the site and our business:

  • Google Analytics (Google LLC) for site analytics, when you consent.
  • Kit (ConvertKit) for newsletter delivery, for subscribers only.
  • GitHub Pages, our website host, which processes standard web server logs (IP address, requested URL, user agent) for every visitor as part of serving the site.

We don't share contact-form submissions or newsletter emails with anyone outside Hurricane Studio except these processors, and only as needed to provide the service above.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies and browser storage entries: one to remember your cookie-consent choice, and, if you accept, Google Analytics cookies to measure site usage. You can decline analytics cookies at any time from the consent banner, and you can clear cookies and site data through your browser settings.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal data we hold about you, and to withdraw consent for analytics or newsletter emails at any time. Newsletter emails include a one-click unsubscribe. For any other request, use our contact form and state that your message concerns your personal data. We'll respond within a reasonable time, generally within 30 days.

Data retention

We keep contact-form submissions and email correspondence for as long as reasonably useful for business and legal record-keeping, and delete them sooner on request. Newsletter subscriber data is kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' standard retention settings.

Changes to this policy

We'll update this page if what we collect or how we use it changes, and update the "last updated" date above when we do.
