Hurricane started because we kept seeing the same pattern: talented founders with strong ideas getting burned by agencies that overpromised and underdelivered.
We'd seen it from the inside: as engineers cleaning up the mess, as founders dealing with vendors, as advisors watching startups run out of runway on products that didn't work.
So we built something different. Not an agency that scales headcount. A small team that works like co-founders, stays for years, and actually cares whether your product succeeds.
Five years later, zero clients have left due to quality issues. They leave when they outgrow us: Series A, in-house team, acquisition. That's the outcome we optimize for.
What we bring to the table.
Every engineer on our team has shipped products used by real people, made architecture decisions under pressure, and understands what it means when runway is running out. We've built healthcare platforms that passed SOC 2 audits, loyalty systems handling millions of transactions, and logistics software running 24/7 across multiple time zones.
We're fluent in the full stack: TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node, PostgreSQL, AWS. But technology choices are the easy part. The hard part is knowing when to push back on a feature, when to cut scope, when to refactor, and when to ship what you have. That judgment comes from building products with founders for over five years, not from reading documentation.
We don't just write code. We sit in the messy space between product, engineering, and business, the space a CTO occupies. We help you decide what to build, how to build it, and when to stop building and start selling.

We don't want 50 clients we barely know. We want a handful of deep partnerships where we're invested in outcomes, not just deliverables. That's why we take equity when it makes sense. It aligns us completely.

We'll tell you if your idea won't work. We'll tell you if you're not ready to build. We'll tell you when something is hard and expensive. Founders deserve straight answers, not sales pitches disguised as advice.

We don't measure success in lines of code or features shipped. We measure it in products that work, users that stay, and clients that grow. Sometimes that means building less, not more.

Fully remote since before it was trendy. Time zones haven't been a problem - we overlap with European mornings and US East Coast afternoons, and we're flexible when needed.
